Chubbs Thunder Hawk, 62, in the living room of his trailer, holding a bull skull which was given to him as a gift for performing traditional Lakota services. He is an AIM member and one of the participants in the Wounded Knee occupation in 1973 in protest against the federal government. For 42 years, Chubbs has lived with his wife and some of their 11 children and many grand children in this trailer. He raises and trains horses, using the proceeds to support traditional Sun Dance ceremonies. He is also a singer of traditional Lakota songs.
